Alex Da Corte at Glenstone

Glenstone

documentary, 10 min, 2025

After six hours in hair & makeup and heavy prosthetics to embody an uncanny Fred Rogers, Alex Da Corte told us in an interview, 'Part of this process for me is to slow down, because empathy takes time...I think there's a lot to be gained from walking in someone else's shoes, especially if it's these Sperry's'. In Fred's Sperry's, Alex toured us through his works at Glenstone, and, with a certain kind of magic, reminded us that 'sometimes being sad is okay'.

Alex Da Corte's works on view at Glenstone include "The Decorated Shed" (2019), "Rubber Pencil Devil" (2018), "Rubber Pencil Devil (Hell House)" (2022), and "As Long As the Sun Lasts" (2021).
