Going Dark

Guggenheim Museum

branded & institutional storytelling, documentary, 1 min, 2023

Invited to craft a promo for the Guggenheim Museum's compelling group exhibition "Going Dark: The Contemporary Figure at the Edge of Visibility," we embraced the exhibition's central question: "What does it mean, particularly for people of color, to be simultaneously hyper-visible and surveilled yet erased from the social and political landscape?" Drawing from Film Noir aesthetics, we conceived a film that invites museumgoers into a chase, evoking themes of visibility and surveillance. Yet, like the exhibition itself, it highlights the playfulness and agency inherent in the pursuit, urging viewers to ponder their roles as subjects and observers.
